Poem
of the Month
Mechanics
of Life
We
often dont look after ourselves
As well as we take care of our car.
If a clinking or groaning sounds as we drive,
We stop at our mechanic to get back to par.
Our
bodies also need to be fine tuned . . .
Many ailments if caught can be cured.
How many times do we ignore growing aches,
How often is chronic pain just endured?
The
beauty of the human body
Is the countless juxtaposed parts that work right.
But a turn or a twist or a breakdown of cells
Can suddenly come forward and give us a bite.
Treat
your body like the miracle it is,
Look after it, should ever the need arise.
For what seems to loom big may be easy to fix,
If about your problem your doc you apprise.
Its
equally important to keep active,
Both physically and mentally, too.
And of course proper food and few sweets
Can lead to a stronger, more healthy you.
So
heres to you, and heres to me,
May we extract each ounce of pleasure in life.
And may good times and gratifying moments
Greatly outnumber any sidebars of strife!
